How to skip ssl certificate check with wget
If you want to download a file with wget from a server that has an invalid SSL certificate (self-signed certificate, expired certificate, etc …). You would like to known how to skip ssl certificate check with wget, you can simply use the argument –no-check-certificate for skip this limitation.
wget --no-check-certificate https://fileserver.sysadmin-community.local
Be careful, don’t use the argument –no-check-certificate systematically, but only when you try to download a file from your own server or a trust server.
If you have a certificate warning from a server which should normally have a trust ssl certificate server.
It may be worthwhile to make an in-depth investigation into the causes of malfunction.
